Kavallieratos Dionisis

Born (1979) in Athens. He lives and works in Berlin. He graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2002 and completed the Radar Project residency in Venice and Krakow in 2003-2004. Kavallieratos’ versatile practice includes large and small-scale sculpture in wood, ceramics and mixed media, and pencil and charcoal drawings. His work reveals a stupendous inner universe -a meta-pop melting-pot of mythology/history/politics/religion- tackling fundamental themes of good and bad, life and death, sex, heroism and immortality with surreal, razor-sharp wit and controversy.
